Bolton and Paderborn in Germany have been twin towns for 50 years! Now we are celebrating this anniversary – and YOU can be part of it. Show us what makes Bolton special to you.
What are we looking for?
Do you have a favourite place in Bolton? A place that makes you happy or that you associate with a great memory? Then share it with us. It can be a photo, video, a drawing or whatever you like as long as it’s your view of Bolton and the 50-year friendship with Paderborn.
When:01.03. – 31.03.2025
Who can take part?
Anyone! Whether you’re young or old, a pupil, a student or just a Bolton fan, we look forward to receiving your contribution. The competition also runs in Paderborn at the same time.
How to submit?
Send your contribution to paderbolton@dec-paderborn.de with a brief explanation of why this place is special to you. Preferred file formats are JPG, PNG and MP4. Minimum resolution: 300dpi. We would be pleased to receive information about your work, e.g. title, format, technique, year of creation, etc. If you agree to publication, we also need your declaration of consent.
What happens to your contribution?
A British-German jury will pick the best submissions, which will then
- be displayed (on digital screens) in Bolton and Paderborn during the European Weeks (30 April – 30 May 20205)
- appear on the social media channels of the Anglo-German Club
- a highlight: a selection will be exhibited at the ceremony in Paderborn Town Hall on 25 July 2025 – you might even be invited in person!
